...Team Post...

1 week down...1 to go!! I hope that you have been PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICING!!!

A couple of things to go over before the Officers and myself head to camp this coming week!!

1. Please make sure that you are practicing EVERYTHING that is on the Post that I posted right after Go For It camp!!

2. I am not kidding about Hip-Hop...it needs to look like you have a clue what is going on. You have had plenty of time to review with a friend or watch the video. Jenni will be able to answer questions that you have or clarify things...if I find out that she spent the entire practice re-teaching, I am not going to be very happy. That practice, the routine should have formations and be ready to just get better!!

3. Also, you MUST go over the camp dance that you learned at Go For It. We will fix some spots and redo formations. You must remember and know the choreography!!

4. Once August is here...I am not going to be as nice as I have been. You will be treated as a SPORT!! You miss practice...you miss a performance...you miss practice where a competition routine has been taught...you must know it the next day or you will not be in the routine. I am sorry to have to be so harsh, but this is High School and you are a sport!! We can't afford lost time and it is not fair to the rest of the TEAM:)

5. I think that this year is going to be incredible. But I am going to be honest, I am putting in A LOT to be coaching you so in return I hope that you are honest and upfront with me AT ALL TIMES. I am doing everything in my power to make you a successful team, but what I need the most is your commitment. So fore warning to you all...If I ask you to do something, you best be doing it!!

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!! You girls are incredible

...3 posts to Read...

I can't believe I spaced this!!! It is going to be so fun!! This is the e-mail that was sent to all of the parents. Please read it with your parents:)

Dear Silverline Members & Parents,

Our first car wash fundraiser will be held Saturday, June 13th on the corner of 11400 S. and State Street (where the Albertson's used to be.) We will advertise it being from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., but we need the morning shift to arrive at 9:00 a.m. to set up and the afternoon shift to stay until 4:00 to clean up. If possible, we would like each drill team member and an adult to sign up for a shift by emailing me or calling me with the names and times you are able to work. You are welcome to work both shifts if you can. Here are the shifts:

Morning Shift: 9:00-10:00 Set-up*
10:00-12:30 Wash cars
12:30-1:00 Lunch

*Set-up involves hanging signs, putting up shade tent/ticket booth, stringing hoses, filling buckets with soap, water, & washing rag/sponge, reviewing or learning how to wash a car...

Afternoon Shift: 12:00-12:30 Lunch
12:30-3:00 Wash cars
3:00-4:00 Clean-up**

**Clean-up involves taking down signs & shade tent/ticket booth, gathering hoses & supplies and returning to owners, dumping & rinsing buckets, hosing down parking lot & throwing away trash, get money to coach...

Presale Tickets: At the garage sale this Saturday, June 6th, I will be handing out 10 presale car wash tickets and asking you to sell as many as you can until the date of the car wash. Please bring any unsold tickets and money collected to the car wash on the 13th.

Supplies: Joe Hendricks and Scott Mehmen have offered the use of their power washers, but we need the following items for washing cars:

hoses spray nozzles paper towels
car wash detergent bug & tar remover tire cleaner
car wash mitts, sponges, or rags for washing cars
shammies or towels for drying off cars
extra rags for cleaning tires & removing bugs & tar

It would also be great to have 2 shade tents. One for a ticket-taking booth and the other for drinks & snacks & lunch. We would also need portable/collapsible chairs and tables for the tents.

Donations Needed: I will tell you how much is needed after everyone has signed up.

Drinks: Bottled water in cooler with ice.
Gatorade in cooler with ice.

Snacks: Grapes
Granola bars

Lunch: Veggie tray

Deli meats
Sliced cheeses
Condiments: mustard, mayo

Drill Team Hair

I sent out an e-mail to all of your Parents. Hopefully they received it:) I just want to also post it on the blog:) Please make sure that you and your parents read this:)

This hair is for Go For It Camp & BDT Camp right now. I am asking that
it is done like this every day of both camps:)

Here is the e-mail that was sent out:

I am laughing pretty hard that I am sending this to you:) I was just searching around the Internet and got to thinking about hair...random I know. I just wanted to let you and the girls know ahead of time how I would like their hair to be done for CAMP (yea...so soon)!! I am sure that you are all expert hair braiders:) I am not at all...hopefully I can get good at it, but as for right now I have nobody to practice on.

I have attached 2 pictures and a YouTube link (for those of you like me that can't braid...I am not sure if it will help, but I love that I can find ANYTHING on YouTube)

(Not in e-mail) The Picture that is at the bottom is how I would love it to look EXCEPT I want the part straight down the middle. No zig zag.

And now for the best part the YouTube video:) I hope that it helps. If not it will make for a very very good laugh!!
YouTube of How to Braid Hair

So basically this is what I want
1. Double French Braid
2. Part starting in the center (Straight)
3. The fun bun in the center
4. Slicked/Wet Hair

Thank you so much for all of your support and letting your girls be apart of this program!! I am so excited!!! Let me know if you need anything!!
