...Car Wash...07.11.2009

Hi Parents & Girlies!!

Just a reminder about the car wash. Please be in touch with Sharon. This fundraiser helps out with possibly getting new costumes for the year!!

-Thanks!!
Meg

Silverline Parents,

Hi! I am writing to remind you of the upcoming car wash on Saturday, July 11 from 10:00-3:00 at the SE corner of 11400 South and State Street. Please have your daughter write in the new date on the presale tickets they received before the June car wash and have them sell them. Please bring any unsold tickets and cash to the car wash and give to me. If you threw the old tickets away and need replacements let me know and I'll send them to practice with Lauren to give to your daughter.

I also need to know what shift or shifts your daughter and you can work. The morning shift is from 9:00-12:30 with set-up from 9:00-10:00 and lunch from 12:30-1:00. The afternoon shift can have lunch before their shift from 12:00-12:30, and then wash cars from 12:30-3:00 with clean-up until 4:00. If you and your daughter want to work both shifts you are welcome to. Please email or call me with you and your daughter shift preferences right away. Thanks!

Also, I am counting on the people who signed up to bring snacks, water, car cleaning supplies, etc. for the first car wash to bring them to this car wash unless you let me know that you are not able to. Please let me know ASAP.

Now that it is hot, hot, hot, please have your daughter bring sunscreen to the car wash and tell them to put it on several times during their shift(s), and a hat or visor is a good idea. We don't want anyone to get a bad sunburn. At a past car wash we helped at, girls burned the tops of their feet and no one wants that!

We also need shade tents. Please let me know if you could bring one to the car wash and have it there by 9:00 for the first shift.

Thanks in advance for your help with the car wash. It's a great opportunity to get to know each other and the girls better, and you can earn service hours for working!

Please let me know about shifts, donations, the need for extra tickets, etc.

Sharon Phelps
