Hey Ladies!!!

We are going to try this again!! I MUST know that you are reading this blog. So you HAVE to e-mail me, text me, or comment on this page that you have read this:) Here are some things I would like you to work on during our break...

  • SPLITS both Right & Left. Let's try to be completely flat for June 8!!!
  • Double Turn. Remember our prep and practice that loud VOCAL:) Remember to sit low in your plie and spring up into releve.
  • 6-Step Pirouette. Remember to slap on count 5!!
  • Grand Battement (Walking Kicks) remember to bring your leg to your body NOT your body to your leg. Don't hunch...I would rather you be waist high than hunching.
  • Chaines, Chaines, Pique, Pique. Remember to go low/plie and spring up to the Pique. SPOT!!!
  • Chasse, Chasse, brush leap, brush leap, developed leap, developled leap.
  • Tombe Pas de bourrĂ©e, side leap, grand pas de chat
  • TILT KICK (think of what we did across the floor) If you weren't there ASK:)
  • Practice your connections in a Kick Line...remember the calls
  • Work on your Military Angles...maybe practice your arms every night. Remember 16, 12, 8, 4, 2, 1, 1
  • If you DARE...the dreaded HEADSTANDS!!! If you have never done these then please get with an old member or wait until we are ALL together. I don't need anyone getting hurt!!
Ok my cute girls...if none of this makes sense to you...PLEASE ask another team member. We want to be prepared when we start practice on June 8!!! Lets work together to make this year memorable!!! Let me know if you need anything.

..........................................................................................................................................................................
THIS IS FOR OFFICERS:)

I just wanted to go over a few things with you:) I want you to know that I am so excited to get this year going. I have a couple things that I just want you to be aware of.
  • I have sent in your camp information. You are now officially attending BDT camp. It is going to be AWESOME. I want to know that you guys will do and be your best while at BDT camp. This camp is a great oppertunity to bond as officers and decide what you want from your 2009-2010 team. I think it is great that most, probably all of you will be trying out for Dance Co. I just want you all to be aware that you will be going to a dance camp 3 out of the 5 weeks of June. You will be attending team camp June 18-20, Dance Co. Camp is June 25-27 (I believe), and then you have BDT camp June 29-July 2. I know that you can handle this and I LOVE that you will be having so much exposure to dance camps...soak it all up!! Make sure that you...
  1. Keep in shape.
  2. Eat Right
  3. SLEEP
  4. Stay FOCUSED
Please take advantage of all the oppertunitues that you are recieving this summer!! Lets make it the best!!!

Thank You!!
Meg

...SilverLine Officers 2009-2010...

I first wanted to tell all of you something...I think that you are AMAZING!! It was difficult putting you in positions because I think you all would do amazing in the positions that you tried out for. Next year is going to run smoothly because of you...Every one of you are great, great leaders and there is no doubt in my mind what you will accomplish as Officers for the SilverLine Drill Team. Once you see the results, know that I will explain my reasoning later...just understand that this year is going to be full of excitement, fun, and above all the BEST experience. SO...without further ado....your 2009-2010 SilverLine Officers...but first remember that you are responsible for raising the remaining camp money due for BDT camp. It is going to be SO SO much FUN!! I can't wait for you to experience camp as Officers together. Also on May 30, 2009 we will be having an Officers Meeting at Coach Meghan's house. Your duties as Officers will officially begin when we start Summer Practice in June:)...So...have I made you wait long enough yet:) I could go on about a plethra of things if you would like...but considering that you all keep texting me and asking when I am going to post the results...I may just wait until Monday to post it...what do you think???? Just playing with you I wouln't do that to you!!
